natrat (66), Naka-shi, Japan Nov 4, 2005 Another of the "new age" oyster stouts...the ones that use some part of actual oysters. Thick pour with nice head, but it disappeared rather quickly. Thick aroma with little hoppiness. Taste was very robust, and the salty tang adds to the big mouthfeel. This beer is a sipper, nice to savour and contemplate. I wish it were even a little darker and had a little more hop profile to balance it. blatantdream (78), New York, New York, USA Apr 30, 2005 On tap for only a limited time at Spuyten Duyvil. They only had one keg of this. Medium brown colored with nice roasted flavor and aroma. A great representation of this style by a Japanese company. Slight creamy "sea or ocean-like" flavors. Full flavored, nicely balanced and dry. A must try if they ever have this again.
