Commercial Description:
A dose of fresh ginger roots added to the brewkettle creates an intriguing mix of ginger, malt-sweetness , and citruslike aromas and flavors Hoppy dryness is very subdued with ginger-sweet-spicey notes dominating throughout to the very finish.

in bottle. smells like ginger! yum! flavor is a peppery ginger, and sweet. significant malt underpinnings, with floral hops on the end. A nice apricot umber color, with off-white head and lacing on top.

very good. The taste taste like the real ginger that you get at your favorite sushi houses. The taste is fresh and malt. hops are light but the rest works

The aroma has yeast, ginger, caramel, malt, and hops. The appearance is hazy brown with a small head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thick. Overall this is very good!

Cool cloudy orange colour. Very, very malty with some citrus aspects, alcohol and only a bit of ginger beer in there. Full mouthfeel, dryish finish. Would work with spicy food, on its own the unique flavour is harder to appreciate. Still, surprisingly good.

Pours cloudy brown with a moderately, light brown head. Aroma is citrusy, kind of like Sprite. Dry, something like Pixie Stix. Sweet backing with a lightly ginger flavor. Some qualities of chocolate or caramel prevail with a lightly powdered ginger flavor.

On tap at the brewery (!) I’m still excited that I actually got to visit the brewery in person. A deep orange color similar to the Amber ale in appearance. This is actually not one of their best, but for the style, it is outstanding. Kouji Tani (who was my guide at the brewery and one of the chief brewers in charge of beer and wine) exprssed some frustration with the beer mostly, I think, because of all of the ginger root which he has to meticulously slice (by hand!) in order to make this beer. Needless to say, I was impressed.

dark hazy brown with a large creamy tan head. ginger and medicinal aroma. flavors of cherry, ginger and 7-up. very sweet and different than other ginger beers i’ve tried because of the darker, sweeter malts. nicely crafted but not my thing.

Thick, dark chestnut color with a small almost non-existing head. Heavy ginger and medicinal nose. Mild malt presence, but this beer is all about ginger. Sharp, mouthwash-like flavor with a continuing ginger taste. This beer is for ginger lovers.
