Bottle: Dusty, dark orange pour with a modest off-white head. Nose of spices, ginger, orange, and Listerine. Do I drink or do I gargle? Tastes like ginger and spices. Some citrus present, mostly in the tail. Orange peel. Sharp finish with more spices. The taste is so dominated by spice, its hard to get past the ginger. Good thing it tastes better than it smells. Thanks to Jordan for sharing.

Bottle: Orangeish amber color with a nice creamy head and lacing. The nose is fairly bright with the ginger, part mouthwash, and part fresh root. I work with the pickled ginger (gari) everyday, and I see no resemblence to that (thankfully). A fresher, rootier ginger. A sweet caramel malt and playful citrusy hop note too. The flavor dives more into the malt notes of it. I like the spicy/sweet hint the flavor gives, almost like the bitterness of the hops would in another case. Any more hop bitterness and this delicate balance would be way thrown off. A bit thin and metallic in the finish, but a creamy full body and an overall tasty, albeit refreshing spicy beverage. Very nice Hitachino!

330 Bottle pours out a clear copped topped with a off white head. Aroma of mouth wash and heavy spice. The tast much better that I was thinking. Thanks Jordan

Bottle grabbed from Riversbend: Pours a nice brown color with a pretty good amount of head. Smell is pretty sweet and I smell some caramel that seems to hide in the background. There is something floral in the back there as well. Taste has some carmel and citrus in there. The aftertaste brings about the ginger at first. As you keep drinking, the taste becomes of huge amount of ginger. The taste is pretty dry. I enjoy a little ginger, but this one seems to cause a little bit to much of a dry feeling to truly be fantastic.

Bottle. Pours cloudy brown, thick and inviting. Aroma is fresh sprigs of ginger with a slight splash of hops. Flavor is ginger and cough syrup, finishing with hops and a sweet cedar flavor. Full and coating mouthfeel. Interesting, but too intense to drink much more than one . Toning the ginger down a notch might benefit this beer.

Bottle pours light brown with a short offwhite head. Aromas of ginger, caramel, and a little citrus. Flavor is lots of ginger, some slight caramel sweetness and a little bitter hops on the finish. Watery on the palate with a dry finish.

Bottle. Poured a pretty unappeasing muddy water brown. Great aroma of ginger, sweet malt and a slight bitterness. Aroma doesn’t carry to much into the flavor, the ginger is there but its not really in the fore front. Its good, but I would have liked a little more ginger. (Disclaimer - I was eating sushi with pickled ginger while drinking this, so the ginger in the beer may have been subdued b/c of what I was eating, but this still was a very solid beer)

This is the 2nd ginger beer that I’ve tried. They are really growing on me. Tried this one from a bottle that was included in a Beer from Around the World Sample box. It’s appearance was of a cloudy gingerale with moderate carbonation. Flavor was sweet with a dry aftertaste. Very tasty. I’d drink this one again.
