| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 16, 2006 Turbid orange in color w/ a head of small to medium bubbles that leave behind the occasional splotch of lace. The nose is tangerine sweetness and a bit of pair along w/ a twinge of pine--all of which I will attribute to ginger. The flavor mostly follows w/ a pleasant tartness, mostly dry w/ a twinge of vegetable bitterness in the finish (again the ginger). Mouth feel is light and forcefully carbonated but still it comes across neither watery nor thin--very Belgian in this respect. I’m a sucker for ginger so I rather like this though for those whom the novelty of a ginger flavored beer means less, it might not be as appealing.

Body is a murky orange tinted brown with a fluffy white, diminishing thumb thick head.
<P>
Aroma is chinese baby corn, white fruit and a suggestion of canned pineaple, but it smells artificial and forced.

Fore is spicy ginger, sweet malt, something approaching cinnamon and fruit. The finish is medicinal and gerbal and very unsatisfying. I just can’t drink this. sethdude (601), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

Smells of dried fruit (fig and cherry), a dash of light malty brown sugar, and alcohol. I never would have known that it had been brewed with ginger. Very malty, fruity flavor with a sweet finish. Was hoping for more ginger. harmfuldrunk (288), New Jersey, USA
