| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 6, 2006 This spiced ale pours a deep brown color from a 330ml bottle. Large sized white foamy head, dense and long lasting. Aroma is malty and caramel, sweet and spicy with mostly ginger but some nutmeg as well. A medium bodied ale. Malts are caramel and sweet, bready and biscuty. And then there is the ginger and other spices. Tastes like a liquid gingerbread cookie with some alcohol on the top. Perhaps a touch too much ginger, but all in all a very interesting beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. skoisirius (588), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 3, 2006 330 ml bottle into a Snifter style glass. Pours an orangeybrown color with a off off white to tanned brown head that tends to be foamy for the whole glass. Aroma smells of ginger candy, oranges, and pineapples. The flavor brings a nicely done malt forward front continuing with the orange peel and pineappley nose which presents itself through a steady mouthfull of balanced ginger taste with a carmalized back to it. Very well balanced and medium bodied. Nothing is too strong in one area. I was rather impressed actually. A nice candied flavor coats the palate when finished! Yum! 1FastSTi (2590), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Aug 28, 2006 Bottle. Pours a relatively hazy copper color with a smallish white head. Aroma says ginger as does the taste. It was really too much for me. I found the ginger to be over-whelming. sliffy (2012), Columbus, Ohio, USA
