Bottle. Tart fruity aroma. Light reddish golden body, small head. Flavor is tart, sweet-sour, somewhat medicinal. Very unusual.

Bottle from College Liquors in Grand Junction, CO. Pours a clear orange color with a thick and soft pillowy head. An amazing nose, very powerful, vinous, somewhat sour and yeast. Very nice. The mouthfeel is fizzy and soft, but very full. The flavor was citrus, orange peel, grainy rice, no alcohol at all. Very interesting and unique. Very nice.

Bottle from Knightly Spirits. Pours a murky honey amber color with no head. The aroma is slightly sour. Tastes are grainy and rice like with notes of subtle soy sauce, Hot and Sour soup, salmon, and a hint of starfruit. Medium carbonation and medium body. I did not find the body to be as thin as others have described. An interesting beer and complex.

Pours a cloudy blonde with a nice fluffy, white head. Fairly good lacing. Aroma is most definitely green olives with some artificial strawberry flavor in the back. Taste at first is green olive juice and then it becomes like a weak strawberry blonde. Watery mouthfeel characteristic of rice beers. Aftertaste is salty and unpleasant.

A nice different beer. Aroma was sweet and spicy. Pour was a cloudy light gold with a dark tinge. Thin off white film for a head. Taste was very sweet with a ginger taste and a sweet spiciness in the background. Medium carbonation. Nice beer.

I found this to be an average session beer with a high alcohol content. I didn’t notice anything extraordinary about it, even with the use of the red rice

As I’ve noted many times before, I love the experience of trying traditional ales. Thus I rate this beer in that context. The aromaq had a very sour quality to it, with a strong contingent of rice. The appearance is a beautiful red color, small white head. The flavor had a very grainy quality to it, and was sour as well. The finish was dry, and again sour. Interesting, but I wouldn’t get it again.
