Hints of citrus, with clove and cinamon. Pours orange. Way too dry, not as good as their other beers, which are usually pretty good.

not too crazy about this one. its too tart for what a Hefeweizen is supposed to be. The usual taste of hefe are almost non-existent. Its just not worth it.

No, No, No. The aroma is completely wrong for a Weizen. It’s wild and funky with more basement aroma than citrus, banana, clove, coriander or wheat. (You know, the things you want out of a wheat beer.) In reality the only maltiness I get out of it is generic. Also, it has a rubber quality to it that really spikes the yuck factor. The appearance is Orange gold with a small head. The flavor is just funky yeast, citrus, and malt. The palate is thin with a bitter finish that I can not attribute to hops. I hope this is just a bad batch, otherwise this should have never been brewed in the first place.

11oz bottle. Golden hazy with gross chunks in it. White FIZZY head. Heavy aroma of airplane glue. heavy flavors of wheat and clove. It is very refreshing. light bodied and smooth on the palate, burbs of are airplane glue too. never mind, not refreshing anymore...

750 ml bottle - This beer would rate a lot higher as a white ale, because thats what it looks, tastes like. Particulars - Pours orangish, with a fizzy head. Very clear, where is the yeast? Flavor is a must citrus - very whit like. I really wish I had peeled the label of the bottle as to not be able to tell what it was. Might have enjoyed it just as a drink.

Clean orange pour with a thin white head. Absent of the usual hefe cloudiness. Light wheaty aroma with a bit of banana and spice. The flavor was like a mix of cheap lager and faint wheat. Boring and bland experience. Not one to repeat real soon.

This hefe was very average and uninspiring. The nose was subdued grassiness, light citrus, hint of banana and touch of clove. The flavors followed suit...all very much restrained...with a hint of dishwater in the finish. Old bottle?

Medium cloudiness in a yellow beer. Small fizzy white head. Banana dominance in the aroma. Almost like a more perfumy Paulaner heffe. The taste throws a bit of a curveball. Some banana in the flavor but a huge amount of citrus and a funky yeasty finish make this another unique Hitachino offering. Very fizzy on the tongue. Extra points for uniqueness. I really dig these guys.
