Hitachino Nest Weizen

This hefe was very average and uninspiring. The nose was subdued grassiness, light citrus, hint of banana and touch of clove. The flavors followed suit...all very much restrained...with a hint of dishwater in the finish. Old bottle?

Medium cloudiness in a yellow beer. Small fizzy white head. Banana dominance in the aroma. Almost like a more perfumy Paulaner heffe. The taste throws a bit of a curveball. Some banana in the flavor but a huge amount of citrus and a funky yeasty finish make this another unique Hitachino offering. Very fizzy on the tongue. Extra points for uniqueness. I really dig these guys.

slightly cloudy gold with a small white head. flowery banana aroma. flavors of banana with hints of peppermint in the aftertaste. decent.

Bottle. Pours cloudy reddish amber. Cream/buff head, lasts for a bit. Aroma primarily of oranges and yeast. Flavor primarily mildly bitter oranges, citrus, fruitiness, medium sourness. Another interesting brew from Hitachino Nest.

Bottle @ restaurant. Straw color with white, quickly disapating head. Very small amount of yeasty aroma. Champagne-esque flavor. Mild citrus and peach notes. Banana and clove??? I didn’t notice it. Good amount of hops for balence. Medium body. Not bad, but this brewery makes much better...

Strong beer. Couldn’t disrespect the owl. Mild acidity- palette is extensive. Lots of different tastes involved.

The beer has a cloudy butterscotch color with a puffy white head that leaves some lacing on the glass. An aroma of banana, clove, and cereal is quite nice. Flavors of wheat, banana, spice, and citrus fruit radiate the palate. Finishes sweet with notes of citrus fruit.

Sour, tangy grain flavor. Yellow/orange color. Medium body. Better than I expected.
