Yeasty and wheaty with faint notes of banana and cloves. Lively carbonation. Medium body. The flavor was slightly sweet with hints of the banana essence and clove spikes but muted. Not a bad beer. tronraner (1938), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 17, 2006 Bottle. Pours orange gold with fizzy, fading white head and some light, flaky floaties. The aroma is lime zest, grain, grassy hops, and some banana. The flavor is slightly acidic and surprisingly yeasty. It has a finish of citrus and hay and a dry, bready aftertaste. There is some kind of weird spice note throughout. Not that bad, considering. iowaherkeye (1873), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 7, 2006 11.2oz, no date. Pours a hazy dark straw/light golden with a tiny, fizzy white head. Nose is bananas and clove--no surprise--and maybe a little leather. Taste is the same with some sour citrus mixed in--though digging a little deeper it is more funky sour yeast. Not digging that flavor a lot. It does have a fairly crisp wheat finish. Sharp carbonation and light bodied. An OK example, don’t need to try again. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 29, 2006 Bottle from Super Saver. Turbid deep gold pour with 1-finger off-white head. Aromas of big cloves, some banana, hopcitrus, honey, and slight apricot. The palate is medium to light and highly carbonated, with flavor hints of citrus, some honey malt, hops, cloves, and subdued banana. Not terribly complex, but not bad either. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 27, 2006 11 oz bottle. Pours a light amber, bubbly white head. Lots of carbonation. Odd nose, kinda white grape like, with wheat and honey. Lively, light mouthfeel, spicy clove, bananna, a touch of honey. Touches of citrus in the finish. Sham (1846), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jun 23, 2006 Amber with no head really and no lacing. The aroma is dusty and citrus filled. Some notes of sourness. Wheat is there, but more husky than much else. A touch of clove. There is an abundance of orange like citrus flavors, a touch overpowering, though. Slighltly bitter with some notes of wheat. The palate is thin and watery, ending in a mix of citrus and bitterness. illinismitty (1800), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 1/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 30, 2006 On memorial day, there was this beer sitting in the hosts fridge, or Miller Lite. So I grabbed this one. Pours cloudy pale golden orange. Thin fizzy white head, thick bubbles, and yeast floaties. Faint honey, banana clove, and wheat aroma... but not very pronounced for the style. The weizen flavors are very weak, texture is thin and fizzy, and has an overall cheap macro taste to the entire experience. Very poor beer. I have no idea how old this was, but I doubt a fresh one would have been much better. The price tag on this bottle said 3.99. Yikes! I am glad I did not pay for it. thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 17, 2006 This bottled brew poured a very large sized head of foamy white colored fine to medium sized mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a softly carbonated transparent weak yellow orange colored body. The aroma was mildl with wheat and malty notes. The mouth feel was mildly tingly from start to finish with a thin crisp flavor. The flavor was mild with thin wheat and malty notes.
