Poured out a murky dirty yellow brew with a tiny cap that died instantly. Smells a million times better cause I dumped in the sediment - before it was sour and rotten apples. Now it is quite nice with bananas, soft citrus, clove and lemon. Quite sour, kinda like a flemish sour (yea, I said that), lemon, yeast. Some rough carbonation. Finishes heavy on tart citrus with weak, short lived banana taste in the middle. As a weizen it kinda blows but I’ll take a bottle of this from time to time if I can find it. This beer was brutal before the sediment as I had it at around 1.6. Drastic difference with the sediment. DUMP IN ALL THE SEDIMENT!!!! deyholla (735), Bloomington, Indiana, USA

Pours a very hazy golden yellow with a medium dense white head. Sweet wheat and a big crisp sweet lemon on the nose, and some acetaldehyde. Light and crisp, with a little tang to it, and a bit of cardboard. Finishes crisp and with a bit more cardboard and lemony tang. Still rather tasty and easy drinking.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jun 15, 2009 Body appears to be motor oil with only a small bubble ring around the edge of my glass. There seems to be this strange sour toasted coconut aroma with tons of sweet pineapple juice that has a tart finish in the nose. I also smell rice crispy squares. I like and dislike the aroma but it seems completely wrong for the style. Wow that be a sour taste with more a apple/lemon combo then anything ells. Feels very sparkly and has an empty finish. Has a slight wheaty malt character but that’s very faint. This drinkable but for an hefe its shyt. The only real enjoyable thing about this beer is the 1970’s orange, brown, and gold owl on the label ChainGangGuy (2608), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 7, 2009 Appearance: Pours a hazed, dull orange body with a thin, wispy, white head.
Smell: Tangy wafts of malted wheat with lesser notes of toasted grain, lemons, and earthy, spicy cloves.
Taste: Sweet, tangy wheat malt, everso slightly toasted, and with a little pop of table sugar sweetness. A flavor of tart lemons and a pinch of clove enters the taste, but no real banana esters. Light, very brief hop bitterness. The lemony tartness outshine the other tastes in the latter half. Finishes dry and lightly crisp.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-plus, crisp carbonation.
Drinkability: A pleasant, refreshing wheat ale, but comes up well short of being an ideal hefeweizen. Cavie (1493), Fort Worth, Texas, USA
