mmmnnnn delicious white beer, full bodied sexiness, who knew japan was hittin... spiced well very fresh taste to it not sure if its worth all that money but mighty fine beer

Bottle at The Publick House in Brookline, hazy gold honey hue, with a frothy white, the nose has a wheaty fruity character, mostly citrus fruits, note of spicy coriander, hint of orange peels fruitiness, with a kind of milky accent in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a wheaten yeastiness, a juicy orange fruitiness, with a spicy nutmeg and coriander accents, leading towards a mild milky, wheaty and faintly bitter finish.

Bottle. Hazy golden pour with decent white head. Sweet citrus aroma. Flavor is unique, I was very suprised by this beer. It tasted of citrus and coriander. Will drink again.

I purchased this brew along with a number of other hitachino brews after reading the thread raving about their wood aged ipa. anyways I was/am looking forward to the 4 beer lineup, but this brew was not good by anymeans. Pours a peachish with very small head of fizz around the brim. aroma is of pungent perfume mixed with orange spice and coriander. flavor is similar, like drinking a not so nice bottle of perfume. overall a terrible experience

Bottle sampled with Stegosaurus. Pours a hazy light golden color with a white head. Aroma smells like flowers, sweet malt, and citrus. Flavor is sweet, citrus, but nothing great.

The bottle poured a hazy yellow-orange beverage with an initial modest fizzy white head that was fully diminishing and left no lacing on the glass. The aroma was, in a word, strange. I suspect that this bottle has gone bad by the smell. Note, I did not use the word aroma, because that would imply something good or pleasant to which there was no resemblance. There was the smell of an orange just as it begins to go bad. The body was thin with lively carbonation and a watery texture. The flavor starts off slightly bitter-sweet with plenty of orange and orange peel. It ends up the same way through the short-lived finish.

Bottle into Duvel tulip, courtesy of cquiroga, summer 2005. Hazy/cloudy golden yellow with white fizzy head that looks both fizzy and creamy at the same time. The head diminishes to an island dusting and a thin ring around the circumference. Smells heavily of lemon zest, corriander and yeast, with some aromas reminiscent of those cheap 10-for-a-dollar lemon sandwhich cookies (which I love), black pepper and Pine Sol. Fairly uniform lace breaks apart in the middle but leaves a sizeable ring at the top. The corriander continues in the taste, balanced by noble hops, accentuated by biting carbonation. Lime and ginger on the finish after a thin bitterness emerges. Compared to all the good shiz Chris treated me to on my visit, this remains one of the more memorable beers, which means quite a bit.

Great body, nice and sweet aromas. The palate has a nice belnd of a sweetness and grais. The finish throws off a good amount of nutmeg. Tasted at Divine Bar NYC
