| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 7, 2006 Bottle 11.2 oz.. Pours yellow/gold with an ample white head. Fairly carbonated. Scents of citrus on the nose. Some sweetness on the palate, but some off-tasting astringcy as well. Sharp and not overly smooth. Aurelius (2648), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 5, 2006 Good painted 21 oz bottle, peach-colored beer with a quickly-dissipating white head. Very good orange blossom and apricot aroma. Tangy, lightly sweet, apricot/orange flavors. Light bodied, well carbonated without being too fizzy. Light, dry spicy aftertaste with some toffee. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 31, 2005 330 ml bottle served in one of those cool little Kiuchi tulips at the Map Room, damn I wanted to steal that glass! Soft orangy nose with billowing herbal wafts (tarragon, cardamom) emanates from a solid light blond body with disappointingly little head...hugely lemony-orangy, acidic character in the body, not much else though it’s pleasant and thirst-quenching...very soft and pillowy like the other Hitachino series I’ve had. Pretty good for a style I’m still not crazy about but I wanted the Nest Classic my buddy was drinking a lot more... edden (927), cow- lumbus, Ohio, USA

Flavors of lemon, yeast, hops and spice. Long finish which has lots of lemon. iowaherkeye (1858), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 13, 2005 11.2oz bottle. Pours a hazy pale straw color with minimal white head. Aroma of orange, coriander and weak yeast. Stong flavor of citrus (orange and lemon)--very tangy--and some wheat maltiness. Very creamy mouthfeel. Metalhead (571), Lake Zurich, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 29, 2005 What I got out of this beer was a weak white ale minus the spice and coriander that was sitting on a table while someone was cleaning the furniture and got a tad of Lemon Pledge fallout in the glass. Even with this going on it’s still pretty drinkable. beerbuzzmontreal (2911), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 14, 2005 Pours a cloudy golden color with a lot of yeast sediments floating and a thin white head. Very good aroma of lemon, yeast, ginger and coriander. Good flavor of lemon, yeast, ginger and coriander, probably other spices too, the flavor is less intense than the aroma. The body has a good thickness with a creamy texture and a medium to strong carbonation. A pretty good witbier.
