Hitachino Nest White Ale

Pale yellow but not very yeasty. Not a whole lot of aroma. Little head. Tart and somewhat bitter. Thin in body and gassy. This is a hard style to get right as this beer attests to.

Expensive brand, and not really worth it. This is a nice beer I guess, but I would never recognise anything resembling a wit. It taste like a cloudy fizzy ale and is not light or easy to drink. I didn’t hate it but NOT worth the $4 price.

Musty aroma, white-yellow clowdy color. high degree of carbonation. Light orange spicy after taste.

Pours hazy straw yellow with a small white head. Scent is fruity and very floral. The taste is almost like someone took a tulip and spun it around in the beer. A great summertime beer.

Try it again Cornfield...your bottle must have been skunked. I get fresh orange peel and coriander (a Japanese Belgian???) fresh fruit, spices, and spritzy citrus notes... really interesting and refreshing...but I could pick this as a Japanese beer in one sip in a blind taste test, no problem...

hazy dark yellow, big tight white head. musty aroma with yeast, coriander and lemon. decently put together white beer with a nice tart lemony note. not bad.

Orange blossoms and almond blossoms predominate the nose with a very nice citrus and spice finish wonderfully drinkable.

Citrus, creamy head. Not overwhelmingly hoppy, though they could use fresher hops. very strong corriander aroma. Excellent and intriguing example of a Jap wheat beer.
