Great big white head. Head reduces quickly. Aroma dominated by juniper berries. A little bit of wheat and yeast in there also. Color is a hazy light gold. Flavor is light and crisp. Some corriander and pine/spruce in there also. Bit of a wheat backbone. Some lemon also. Gets considerably more spicey as it warms and ginger becomes the prominent flavor. Finish is clean and pretty refreshing. Bit more spice and the nutmeg becomes prominent in the aftertaste. A decent belgian white and not exactly what I expected coming from Japan but I still liked it a lot.

(22oz bottle) Purchased at Party Source in June 2004. Pours a cloudy, yeallow body with a medium, white head. No carbonation. Tart nose with strong coriander and mellow banana tones. Flavour is overly lemony with a mildly sweet coriander palate. A sour belgian ale.

Looks like the most recent ratings for this are all abnormally low. Bad batch? Mine was good anyway... Lightly hazy with a creamy head. Vibrantly spicy nose, so much so that it’s hard to put my finger on everything going on--oranges and chrismas all wrapped into one. One the other hand, the flavor is somewhat more subdued--softly citric with a hint of cologne. Mouthfeel is also soft if a bit flat. Overall, not really a traditional wit but an interesting one.

The aftertaste ruined this beer for me! initally tasted citrusy with some malty note. The malty notes seam to be that of rice, but the aftertaste seemed almost dirty as i drank more of it. Kinda of a dull apperance too pale opaque yellow. it could have used a little more red to it.

Bottle: cabbage nose, clear and very pale. White pepper and coriander over cabbage, whoa, nasty aftertaste. Orangey and dry at the finish

Keith-This beer has the lightest color you will see. Nice clear head and a light aroma. The flavor is very crisp and clear. Very refreshing but the taste goes away just seconds after you taste it. I like this one despite the bad side.

Spicey white pepper. Fish oil. Tastes like spoiled cabbage with a bunch of spices thrown in and then let to stew in a pot for a couple of hours. There’s quite a lot wrong here.

I honestly thought that this beer was a joke of some sort until my life-long pal assured me that he’d spent $5.00 to buy it at the bar in Quenchers. I had the couple of slugs that RAYBOY01 had left in the bottle, then went to the restroom. This crap smells bad, tastes fruity-sick, and hits the gut like a hot coal.
