No matter how many times I have had it I still enjoy this beer. Nice citrus and ginger notes with a body that seems to be both light and creamy at the same time. Excellent stuff and becoming much easier to get.

Even though Hoegaarden was my very first Belgian wit, or white wheat, beer, I had no idea was I was drinking. The only thing I knew was that I really enjoyed it. It is still my favorite Belgian wit beer, though there have been others since then which have come pretty close. now, years later, I am once again enjoying a fresh Hoegaarden on draft and it is just as good as I remember it, and maybe even a bit better as my palate can now appreciate the finer details of what so bedazzled me the first quaff around.
Again, on draft at a favorite local hangout and beer bar with good food. A beautiful cloudy white with tinges of yellow peeking through a huge, luxuriously soft and tightly packed head a good 1 inch thick rested comfortably on top while peeking over the edge of my glass at me. Obviously in hurry at all, she took her time fading into a splotchy layer of white puffs floating on top of the brew below while leaving trails of brussels lace behind. Pepper, coriander, clove, and spice in the nose hints of a delectable experience. A quaff, then a second, and I are in Hoegaarden bliss. Their recipe a closely guarded secret, I can see why since no one has yet mastered the spicy wit beer as they have. A light and soft body while at the same time being full of chewy wheat. Her body leaves a soft coating on my tongue and mouth as the pepper, coriander, and spices linger. Creamy bananas add even more softness and a lingering creamy presence to the spiced brew. While it all sounds like a mish-mash conglomeration of flavors, mouthfeel, and palate, Hoegaarden comes together in a perfect harmony of spices which are carried on a gentle body of wheat and smoothed over with a light creamy banana presence. A culminate excellence.
Hoegaarden is as good as and even better them I remember her years ago. Some may argue that her recipe over the years has been tweaked and toned down since its purchase by InBev, a macro giant. While that may be true, or it may be false, having never partaken of an older recipe I can only enjoy the Hoegaarden I have now, and a lovely treat she is.

Sampled on tap at Epcot during their food, wine, and beer festival. This is pretty good and certainly got the job done on a hot day, like it was. Hazy yellow color with a thick creamy white head. The taste is mostly dominated by bananas and lemons with maybe a light spice in there as well. Light-bodied, refreshing, this is defnitely an easy going beer.

pours cloudy straw-yellow with a thick white head. nose heavy with banana, clove, orangepeel, cardamom and (maybe?) mint. taste is heavy yellow fruit: orange, citrus, lemon, banana, pineapple. Spicy. Finish is clean with subtle spice and wheat.

Bottle... This was the beer that really got me interested in belgian beers a few years back... If you’ve never had a nice belgian white you will def be able to taste the hint of orange and a nice sour bite... now that I have tried so many whites this one seems a bit plain, but always will have a special place in my heart...

Poured a frothy off white head that diminished slowly. Beautiful yellow-hinting-at-brown body with tiny particles suspended within the cloudy depths. It just asks to be consumed!Smells of citrus, lemon, and a hint of vinalla. Amazing flavour that starts sweet at the tip of the tounge, offering some orange peel tang as you finish. Palate is heavy for a white, but creamy with a lively zest. A pleasure to drink! Mainstream done right.
