12oz. bottle. Pours an almost opaque, densely clouded, light yellow/straw with a thick, white head that persists a leaves a spotted sheet of lace all over the glass. The aroma is strong with wheat and citrus (lemon and orange zest is what reminds me of). The flavor starts very wheaty with a touch oatmeal (the presence of flaked oats is surprisingly noticeable and adds to the fresh bread character of the flaked wheat and malts). There is also a very nice, subtle touch of coriander spice. At mid-palate, citrus sensations grow to form a very refreshing and crisp touch of orange along with subtle, earthy, balancing hops and spicy, citrusy coriander seed. The finish is dry and the flavors of wheat and coriander linger lightly in the aftertaste. The mouthfeel is very crisp in texture - effervescent and refreshing. The body is medium in fullness and seems somewhat thick and starchy on the sides of the tongue, to which it clings. Overall, a remarkably refreshing, light, wheat ale. And this is one of the best Witbiers around (likely attributable to the fact that it’s the original).

great belgian white! the best I ever tasted. It has a very fruity,sweet taste. The aroma is also very sweet. Hope to drink this beer more often.

Was not impressed by this beer. Poured yellow with a faint head. Didn’t have much taste. The taste was wheat and some orange peel. Probably would not buy again.

On tap at the Airliner (they put a lemon slice on top, which was removed immediately, but still will affect my rating somewhat). Aroma was light, some bread, lemon/citrus. Butter yellow in color, rather clear, no head as a result of the lemon which killed it, but from memory it has a decent white pillowy head (so i am rating based on memory in this case). Good amount of carbonation feel, bread dough, light lemon/citrus flavor, zesty. Definitely not my favorite, but very alright, probably the best I’ve had of a style I don’t really care for.

From bottle. Pale cloudy yellow with a big puffy white head leaving some lacing. Citric aromas with some yeasty banana in the back. Also a hint of coriander hits the nose. Acid orange peel when first taken in mouth, some peppery coriander in the middle with a slight bitterness at the end but well balanced. Crisp carbonation and light bodied makes it highly refreshing and perfect for hot summer nights. An excellent wit which keeps a high standard.

Beautiful color, white beer. No bitterness. Faint taste of orange and corriander. Massive lacing, nice head. If this is the orginal wit bier then consider me drunk.
