Nice golden beer with clear orange rim and with an airy light colored head. Fine apricot aroma’s, touches of orange skin, cakes, marmalade (Tipthree) orange, some spices and a vegetal hoppyness that brings freshness in the nose. Elegant round taste with good maltyness and hints of stonefruits, madeleine cakes and orange-jam. fine refreshing bitterness in the afthertaste refering to hops and orange-skin. Very nice beer with an original freshness.

(Bottle 25 cl) Another very odd beer: first soft and watery, then sweet and sour only to finish almost smoked. A journey through all these impressions in only 25 cl - magnficent! Very refined, delicious nose. Hazy, orangey golden, small beige head. 070298

Very nice nose: lactic acid as with an aged blendingbeer, at the same time an impression as of diacetyl, but really restrained; also something flowery. Colour light pale, lacy head. Taste : biscuits, but also an impression of a very sweet liquour - not quite succeeded. Very smooth palate, with another lactic impression in the aftertaste. Very strange imbalance with the nose and finish vs. the actual taste. As if something failed to work out in the formula. Blending is more than probable, seen the brewer.

Bottle Sparkling, amber body. Lightly brownish, rocky head, which is mostly lasting, fair lace. Soapy, light hops in the nose. Fine flavour. Lightly bitter, moderately sweet initial flavour. Lightly sweet, lightly bitter finish. Medium to fully bodied. Warm mouthfeel.

Orange color, chunks of yeast, big frothy head. Cream, citrus and some hops in the aroma. Tart. Raspberry-like flavor with hops and just a bit of fruity sweetness and citrus. Some hops, resulting in a light bitter and citric aftertaste. Very likeable Belgian ale.

Hazy amber under a large yellow lasting head. Faint gueuzey, fresh fruit, hops and dank cellar yeast aroma. A medium to light bodied gentle Belgian ale. Balanced bitter sweet start. Faint yeasty sweet middle and dry clean finish. Nice!

Bottle that I picked up either in Belgium or Carrefour, Calais, can’t recall. Consumed last week in Norfolk I struggled to find this on the database, so thanks very much to Joris pointing me in the right direction. The beer pours hazy amber with a slight orangey glow and a white head. The initial taste is a bit custard creamy biscuit, there is a sweet malty base and a hint of warming alcohol slips through. There is a pinch of nutmeg or cinnamon (I often get them confused) amongst the spiciness on the nose and also in the mouth. The nose also displaying some sweet aroma’s. There’s no denying that there is a sweetness to this that frustrates a little but its a decent beer. A6 A3 F7 P4 Ov13 3.3
