Commercial Description:
Brewed for and by members of Zythos branch BLES. Filtered, non-pasteurised, bottle-conditioned. Named after a Zottegems regional cookie. De "Hoevebrouwers", a young brewing couple want to start up a brewery on their farm. 1° version at De Graal, 2° at Alvinne, 3° again at De Graal

Bottled.A hazy amber beer with a beige head. The aroma is sweet and acidic with notes of malt and caramel, while the flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, leading to a dry spicy finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Hazy, amber golden with a lively, lacing, off-white head. Aroma of fruit, yeast and roasted malt. Medium body with roasted malt accents, some dried fruit and a little yeast. Subdued bitterness while some diacetyl and alcohol in the finish. 160408

ZBF2008: From bottle. Pours hazzlenut brown, golden and clear with a completely gone head. Light whiskey malt aroma. Flavour is spiced, light caramel note. Lingering light spiced and yeasty finish.6-3-6-3-13=3.1

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a fully diminished white head. Light citric and spiced aroma. Flavour is spiced and light malty, caramel and perhaps a mild chocolate note. Light spiced and yeasty finish.6-3-5-3-11=2.9

Bottle. Light unclear medium to dark amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, bread, dust. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (130208)

Bottle at ZBF08. Good malty aroma, slightly sweet. Cloudy brown colour. Small stable bubbly tan head. Some yeast to flavour. Roasted, a little grainy. All in all OK.

Bottle. Clear orange coloured with a huge off white head. Spicy aroma of caramel with notes of fruits. Sweet flavour of caramel, dried fruits and fruits with notes of spices and hops. Spicy and hoppy finish.

33cl bottle. Enormous beige head atop murky brown body. Aroma is moderately sweet, caramel, some herbal, yeast, light plum. Taste is moderately sweet, caramel, nutmeg, herbal, some molasses, light raisin. Light-medium body.
