Eyedrinkale (3076), Beer Town, New York, USA May 7, 2008 Draft. Clear yellow with a thin head. Aroma is bready with a twist of lemon. Flavor is a nice balance of sweet malts with just a hint of butter and honey. Crisp and toasty but just a bit on the sweet side.
gwelch925 (27), Northern, Kentucky, USA Jul 4, 2008 Watch out Hofbräu München Original has a huge head so make sure you have that Lager glass handy. If you pour this beer and there is no head than there is something wrong with either the brew or yourself. Not much happening on the aroma front, hope mainly. Hops are dominant in the flavor and the malt is present as well. I had this beer done in four gulps. After my initial two sips of course. carruthm (204), USA Jul 2, 2008 The original. Had on tap in Munich, much much much better than bottled. You have to try it in person. rds (67), USA Jun 23, 2008 Golden bodied, with a short, quickly dissipating white head. A clean tasting lager, for sure, no less, but not too much more. dalepryor (145), St. Petersburg, Florida, USA Jun 22, 2008 pours yellow with thin white head, skunky aroma. I didnt enjoy this too much phishpond417 (1110), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Jun 17, 2008 Pours a clear, straw yellow coloured body. Small thin white head, rather grainy with a dominant somewhat sweet malted flavor. A soft touch of hops rounds off this german brew.
