It smells of sweet malt. The flavor is sweet and the mouthfeel smooth and easy going. The hops are just noticeable. It’s medium bodied and is a simple, straightforward beer that makes for a good quaff in the beer hall. Prost! DrnkMcDermott (1861), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA

Surprised this hasn’t been reported in my area lately. Light brown in color. Toasty malt smell. Taste is a bit yeasty again, but there’s some nice roasty malt involved here. Could just be that my sample was from the bottom of the bottle. BelgianBeerGal (1313), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 15, 2007 Draught Very stable yellow head, leaving lace, over chestnut-brown beer. Rainwater, dark autumn leaves, and a bit fruity - and of course very malty. Again leafy & malty; sweet, but nowhere exaggeratedly. Coloured malts, without roastedness. Ends a tad woody. Quite well-bodied, slick, near-syrupy. Much better than feared, to be honest. hopson (595), Williamsville, New York, USA

Nose is intensely malty, somewhat unpleasent. I think I’m not a fan of munich malts. Flavor is not balanced, too sweet, not enough dark notes for me.
