Poured clear brown color with a large frothy light brown head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate dark toasted malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and lively carbonation. Medium toasted sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration.
My expectations where met with an above average version of this style. jrallen34 (123), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jun 28, 2009 Pours a dark brown/amber color with a beige head. Slightly roasted, sweat aroma. Taste was for me at least a little metallic and a little watery. It really kind of let me down. There were some roasted malts and caramel notes, but ultimately, this was not a very fun beer to drink for me.
