Aug 7, 2009 Bottle. Pours a reddish-brown color with a light tan head. Aroma of malts, fruit and toffee. Has a roasted coffee kind of flavor in addition to forementioned aromas. Fairly light bodied. Pretty easy on the palate.

Pours brown, beige head.
Aroma of caramel malts, some dark fruits coming across as strong and crystal malts.
Flavor, malty, dark fruits; raisins, figs, dark malts, with light caramel, roasted finish.
For a mass produced German beer, this is a fine and easy to drink beer fileld with good flavors.

Pours a deep brown with a light tan head. Aroma is roast, caramel, barley, malts, wheat, spices. Easy to drink and well crafted.

Jul 10, 2009 On tap at Mahars. Pours dark brown with a good head. Aroma is sweet and earthy. Flavor is pumpkins and wheat, weird but good.

Poured clear brown color with a large frothy light brown head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate dark toasted malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and lively carbonation. Medium toasted sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration.
My expectations where met with an above average version of this style.

Jun 28, 2009 Pours a dark brown/amber color with a beige head. Slightly roasted, sweat aroma. Taste was for me at least a little metallic and a little watery. It really kind of let me down. There were some roasted malts and caramel notes, but ultimately, this was not a very fun beer to drink for me.
