Mar 5, 2009 Draft at Redlight Redlight. Pours a dark brown color. Aroma is full of bread and malt, with a slight dog food characteristic. Not very sweet, just loaded with grain. Flavor mixes things up a bit, but the sweetness I have come to expect from some Dunkels is missing. More bread and caramel malt with a slight smokiness.

Mar 1, 2009 Aroma is almost like tea. slight notes of grain and grapes. pours dark brown. Fairly smooth drinking beer, some sweet to it, but mostly it tastes to me like a carbonated Iced tea with some malt thrown in. Not my favorite style, but then again, its in a green bottle. eh.

Mar 1, 2009 Poured a clear reddish-brown hue with a off white had that had a slight retention. Aroma had mostly floral notes to it. Flavor initially was slightly sweet with caramel malts but a nice bread not balanced it out. Flavor was smooth throughout but the carbonation was elevated and was somewhat annoying. Still a decent refreshing beer.

Appearance: mahogany with hint of dark amber. Large fine off white top. Medium lacing.4-
Nose: Mineral , meadow hops , slight feel of chocolate , some bitterness. 6+
Flavor/Palate : Medium bodied. Splendid work if you look at malt character. Soft, clean and approachable in body as well in texture. Dunkel character it self felt a bit subdued. Good lager per se but not best for style.

Feb 21, 2009 (bottle) Clear, ruby amber colour with a big and tanned foamy head. Sweet and almost Bock-like toast-malty aroma with strong notes of caramel and a touch of dark bread an anise. Light-bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a well-carbonated mouthfeel. Dry toasty malt character with pronounced notes of caramel. Toasty and slightly hop bitter finish with wll-blended sweet malt. Decent Dunkel (21.II.09).

Feb 9, 2009 12 oz. bottle courtesy of FlacoAlto - Pours a clear brown color with deep red edges and sports a one finger thick off white head. Light lacing. Aroma is light toasted caramel malt with a hint of herbal hops. Flavor is much of the same with the addition of some pronounced herbal flavors. A nice medium bodied beer. Thanks Sebastian.

Jan 27, 2009 355ml botlle. Pours brown in color with light brown head. Aroma sweet, roasted malt and caramel. Taste of roasted malt and caramel with dry finish.

Jan 19, 2009 Draft at Hofbrau Beer Garden in Panama City Beach. Brown in the glass with a tan head that had a thin layer lasting and good lace. Sweet malts in the aroma with a backing of nut and caramel. The flavor is slightly lighter with sweet malts and a hint of bitterness. Light to medium body with a sweet malt aftertaste.
