I love this beer, but too bad the brewery still insists on exporting the dreaded green bottle. I rarely get to enjoy this un-skunked, but when I do its like heaven. Sweet maltliness almost perfectly balanced by hops. Finishes smooth and eventful. kubeckj (9), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA does not count | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 29, 2008 A very rich dark brew with many flavors that just messed and a great creamy feel to it, great beer one of my favorites ComradeK (66), Australia

Possibly just the tiniest bit too thin, but this does not detract too much overall. Long, smooth caramel flavouring, with the slightest hints of coffee and chocolate. A very good beer. A great beer, I must say; I found it to be immediately enjoyable and noted that I would certainly drink it again. It pours an appealing dark colour with a decent frothy head which, unfortunately, recedes a bit too quickly. It has an enduring and pleasing flavour; distinctively caramel. It goes down very well. Well worth buying! gerardoluna (195), Mexico

Aroma of molasses. Delicious rich roasted malty flavor. Heavier malt content than other dunkels with good hop balance. Aroma was malty with a hint of dark fruit. Appearance was a dark red to brown the head was full and lasting, carbonation was medium to soft. It had a very malty sweet flavor some dark fruit the bitterness was subtle. It made for a host enjoyable beer.
