Nov 20, 2009 Pours a clear dark cola color with a full, lasting tan head. Aroma is malty and nutty. Taste is roasted sweet malt, caramel and a mild yet assertive hop bite. Quite good, but I gotta say the Hofbrau Dunkel on tap at the Newport Kentucky location is better.

Nov 14, 2009 A little on the lighter side in the mouth, bordering "watery"; malty; pretty dry ending, not the best; the spicy flavor balances very nicely with the sweet caramel flavor to make for an enjoyably complex taste; nice dark amber appearance. I recommend it.

Nov 7, 2009 Aroma is malty, brown sugar, caramel, vegetable. The appearance is a deep amber/red. off-white head. The flavor is bread, caramel, nuts. The finish is sweet, caramel, candy, only the slightest piney hop bite, which comes out more as the time goes by. medium mouthfeel. Decent, not bad at all.
