Hofbräu München Kristall Weisse

08.05.2004, 0,5l Bottle. Pale yellow and clear.White head. Aroma is a little weak and I think that this have been better if it was’nt filtered. Nice flower-like hoppy flavour.

I’m not a huge fan of this overly carbonated weizen...especially the german hefeweizen. It doesn’t quite mix as well with the fuller body, thick, viscous, and full of banana and clove flavors that are enjoyable. It overpowers those aspects, and brings it to an abrupt finish on the palate. I do like the balance however, as it is well done. Drinkable, but not my speed.

(Stockholm Beer Festival 2007) Draught. Pale golden, big white head. Malty, spicy, somewhat fruity aroma with notes of banana. Malty banana flavor, bubble gum and candy notes. Somewhat spicy finish.

Thanks to ghawener. Refreshing. One of my favorite types of beer. This one pours a very light yellow color with a medium head. Fruity, but not to sweet, not a lot of depth on this one, but definitely enjoyable.

Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Banana and some hay in aroma. Flavour is banana and wheat. Quite nice for a Kristall Weisse, but the flavour is cut quite abruptly after the finish. A bit overcarbonated in my opinion, otherwise nice.

Clear golden color, big cloudy white head. Dry, a bit smokey banana aroma. Medium-bodied, crisp, roasted banana flavor. Quite tasty as Kristallweizen.

Bottled. Clear golden in colour. With fluffy white head. The aroma is that of wheat and it’s fruity. The flavour is fruity and sweet, the wheat is present and has a great finish.

Pale golden colour with moderate sized white head. Big bubblegum aroma, also some nice yeast. Taste is bubblegum, cloves and bananas. Nice smooth mouthfeel. Very good Kristall Weisse.
