| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 11, 2006 Poured a clear amber color with an ok initial head that turned to just a rim around the top of the beer. Lacing was just above average, much better than the head would have led one to believe. The aroma was light caramel and some saaz hops. Flavor was caramel and light dark fruits, the latter unexpected based on the color and style. Nonetheless, they were light and the hops took over in the finish: light grassy saaz tones with a touch of spice to finish. Not a bad maibock at all. Alcohol a little sharp and the breadiness was underplayed (ie. not detected at all). Mouthfeel slightly sharp from the alcohol, but not cloying sweet like others have commented. Cabonation just right to wake up the taste buds. Enjoyable, although not at the top of its class. ElBorracho (472), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 6, 2006 Poured a beautiful clear bold orange color with a very very nice fluffy foamy amoung of slightly offwhite head. Aroma is sweet and caramely with some green grape and slightly sour fruit undertones. Flavor is very sweet, nutty, toffeeish, and caramelized sugar. Overall, very enjoyable stronger beer perfect for a nice cool early summer night. HopheadHans (755), Bay Area, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 5, 2006 Bottler. Pours amber with a decent head. Aromas of malt and sweet fruit.
Flavor is a bit alcoholic and sweet with just the right balance of malts and hops. Finsih is lasting with a touch of hoppiness. A great maibock. Ughsmash (4077), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 5, 2006 On tap. Poured a clear medium burnt amber with a well-retained cap of off-white head. Nose was of toasty caramel and toffee, darker fruits, and some brown sugar. Flavor was about the same... toasty caramel, brown sugar, and nuttiness were quite pleasant and smooth. Alcohol was only present with a warming effect. This was very good, and scarily easy to drink. LiebeBier (793), Annapolis, Maryland, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 4, 2006 12 oz bottle. Copper-amber, crystal clean topped by a thick off-white head. Very persistent. Good looking beer. Sweet toasty malt, light caramel and a bit of brown sugar. Malts are quite frsh tasting. Soft sweet toasty malt flavour. Sweet but clean throughout. A hint of nuttiness toward the finish. No real happiness to speak of. Really tasty brew. Toffeeish as it warms. I’m 4/4 on these guys this week. All have been really tasty, this one included. oh6gdx (9104), Vasa, Finland
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 2, 2006 Bottled. Amber colour with big off-white head. Aroma of fruit, raisins, malts and a weak sting of alcohol. Strong malty body with hops also coming in. Weak sting of alcohol, and palate is quite "soapish" slippery. Not bad at all.
