Malty but not overwhelming. Clean finish no aftertaste. Wish the actual hofbrauhouse served this beer regularly mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA

Love that malt flavor. Delectable
and a perfect match for savory foods.

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Mar 29, 2007 This is a fantastic maibock, amber in color with an orange hue, big & fluffy light tan head, aroma full of malts with hints of caramel, toffee & pine, velvetty-smooth body, very drinkable, lots of malt in the flavors with subtle notes of caramel, herbs & nuts, but it’s really the finish & aftertaste that makes this beer so great, very smooth, begs you to take another gulp, this is borderline addicting, very impressive beer

The aroma was bready and the taste was malty. The finish was somewhat sweet and made me want more. This was a great beer and one worth trying. One of the best in the style. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA

A light, sourish/sweetish, copper-colored maibock beer that won't be confused with a doppelbock anytime soon. Could drink more than one. Very very malty and caremelly sweet with a hint of alcohol. Nice toffee aroma, too. urbnhautebourg (974), Annapolis, Maryland, USA

Deep rich malt aroma. Wonderful sweet malt, and as you swallow, you’ll find alcohol tingling the roof of your mouth, wafting through your nose and warming your chest. What a great example of this style.
