Commercial Description:
The Munich Beer Festival, or Oktoberfest, is an event of superlatives - it’s the largest popular festival in the world, staging in the beer metropolis of Munich. Millions of visitors from all over the world flock along every year to enjoy its very special atmosphere. For this occasion, Hofbräu brews a rich, full-bodied beer which goes down ideally with traditional Bavarian cuisine. With its deliciously bitter taste and alcoholic content of 6.3% volume, Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier is as special as the Beer Festival itself.

Bottle. Decent flavor, but doesn’t fit the style very well. Too light in color and not malty enough.

A moderately good Oktoberfest beer. Not nearly as tasty as the Spaten or Paulaner versions, but there is nothing particularly bad about this beer either. It doesnt yell "Ocktoberfest", but is merely a good, safe lager that will please most palates.

Bottle. Not good. I poured some out because I grew tired of struggling to find a reason to keep drinking this beer. Not terrible....just not good. NO definfing characteristics. I have a hard time calling this an Oktoberfest.

Bottle (From Bitter Virtue). Light colour. Some grainy malt and thin grassy hops. Thin with some sweetness and hints of the strength. On the whole boring and unimpressive.

Golden with a large fluffy head. Aroma of grainy, roasted malt. Flavor continues with more roasted malt. Some hop bitterness at the end. Enjoyable, but different among Munich Oktoberfest beers.

Thanks to Sebastian. A cristal clear golden yellow beer with a nice fluffy white froth. Aroma is pils-malty, slight herby and very elegant with a crisp hoppy freshness. The taste is dry and has a good body. It is good in ballans and has a clear malty pilzen taste with a attractive hoppy bitterness in the finish.

Pours a pale gold color with small white head.Big aroma of munich malt. The munich malt pretty much takes over this beer, with a hint of hops.Different.

Toasted Munich malt dominates aroma and taste, pale gold color, a little noble hop bitterness in the backing, seemed to have a carbonic bite. I don’t think this batch traveled well. I’m sure it tastes better then this at the Hofbrau tent in Munich today
