Commercial Description:
The Munich Beer Festival, or Oktoberfest, is an event of superlatives - it’s the largest popular festival in the world, staging in the beer metropolis of Munich. Millions of visitors from all over the world flock along every year to enjoy its very special atmosphere. For this occasion, Hofbräu brews a rich, full-bodied beer which goes down ideally with traditional Bavarian cuisine. With its deliciously bitter taste and alcoholic content of 6.3% volume, Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier is as special as the Beer Festival itself.

Bottle. It’s golden yellow with a very tall frothy head. The aroma is quite grassy with lemon, hay, grain. It’s medium bodied. I taste bread and butter, more grass, lemon, grain, light sweet malt. The finish is neither long nor terribly short with some more butter and grain.

Ewww. Way too sweet and a nearly overpowering chemical mouthfeel. I know, I know, the Bavarian purity law forbids adjuncts, but damn if this doesn’t remind me of Molson Canadian. Feh. Proof that Germans can also make crappy beer.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear gold color with a light white head. Grassy and malty aroma to the nose. Has a roasted malt finish, dry mouth feel, a hint of bitterness. Light to medium bodied.

Bottle 500 ml
Appearance: crystal bright golden look. Medium white top , light ring of lace.
Nose: sweet front with grainy centre , light earthy fruity hop whiff. 6-
Flavor/Palate : mid bodied. Soft fruity , grainy malt feel. Sweet mild pale malt feel. Low carbonation for lager. Refreshing , drinkable. Alcohol almost unnoticeable at rated strength. Malt oriented soft approach to stronger pale lager.

Golden color, white head. Malty aroma, malty flavor with some buttery notes. Quaffable, if not spectacular.

Golden pour, a little lighter that I would expect. Nice grassy nose with some soft German hops. Lots of nice biscuity malts, some good breadiness too. A nice malty lager I really enjoyed it.
