Commercial Description:
The Munich Beer Festival, or Oktoberfest, is an event of superlatives - it’s the largest popular festival in the world, staging in the beer metropolis of Munich. Millions of visitors from all over the world flock along every year to enjoy its very special atmosphere. For this occasion, Hofbräu brews a rich, full-bodied beer which goes down ideally with traditional Bavarian cuisine. With its deliciously bitter taste and alcoholic content of 6.3% volume, Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier is as special as the Beer Festival itself.

On Tap at Oktoberfest: Man what an experience. Sure my rating is likely skewed by the circumstance, but it was a great circumstance. I felt the beer looked great, a nice golden color with minimal head though it had some carbonation. And a rather nice flavor, had quite a few of these! And enjoyed them all.

A deep orange coloured beer with a light, frothy, white head. A distinctly wheaty nose has hints of citrus fruit and a slight sweetness in the finish. The taste is the same - a dry wheatiness followed by a sweet malty flavour and the hints of citrus fruit again. The finish is dry and wheaty.

"Poured a light light golden color, way to light for style. Thin white head that left no lacing. Smelled sweet, hint of carmel. A nice refreshing beer, but not really that great for style."

A zested up lager, really, but still pretty good. Decent hop profile to this which was nice, but it did come after yet another malt-only lager from Italy. Refreshing at 5.7%.

Pours pale with a little white head. The aroma is faint but quite a lovely mix of grain, caramel, biscuit and toasted. The flavor is biscuit and caramel, some noble hops. While this is not one of my favorite styles this is certainly a well made example.
