Crisp, dry and refreshing. Lots of flowery hops, it cleans the palate as a decent German lager should do. On tap at Munich airport, where they have lovely bretzels, too!

Sampled at the Odds and Ends Tasting II on 10/19/07: Pours a clear golden color with a medium thin and frothy white head that diminshes steadily. Spots of lacing. Lightly floral nose with spots of fruit and malt. Light body with flavors of grain, malt and fruit. The finish is mildly bitter and short. Pretty average all around.

One word describes this one: mediocre. It was straight down the middle on all fronts. Pours a clear golden color. Thin head that dissipated quickly. Mild body and only a faintly pleasant aroma. The flavor was really quite nondescript. It was just a so-so beer overall.

Weak. This beer has a slight aroma of skunk, and not surprisingly, the flavor is not much different. Taste lingers far longer than it should, because you really didn’t it there in the first place.

Probably one of the least flavorful beds I’ve ever tasted. Delivers an incredible aroma, which implies a bold taste, but it offers very little in the taste department. Not a repeat purchase, but not necessarily bad tasting.

(Stockholm Beer Festival 2007) Draught. Golden color, nice white head. Malty, fruity aroma, grassy and some diacetyl notes. Malty, bready flavor, some fruits, some hops. A bit thin, quite discreet finish.

On tap at Clockenspiel. Very good beer with golden body. Tangy and very crisp. Great finish.

Bottle - 500ml. Golden body with good carbonation and a decent white foamy nead. Well balanced, malty/hoppy aroma with bready and grassy hints. Taste is refreshing and ends with a nice hoppy finish. Good example of a standard "everyday" Helles.
