| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 4, 2007 Ugh...one of my most hated beer styles. So thin and watery with not much taste. However, this is good compared to the others of this style. Pour was a dark yellow with a one finger white head. Aroma of wheat and some lemon. Taste was very fizzy and the carbonation drowned out what little flavor this beer had. There was some cereal-ness to flavor and some yeasty grains if that makes sense. sneezey (110), Hackettstown, New Jersey, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Sep 2, 2007 Not bad helles, typically heavy on the yeast with a healthy head. But not as good as many of its Munich competitors. Could stand more hops, or at least a stronger strain. Whelk (124), Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 27, 2007 Bottle. Pours a brilliant yellow/gold with a soapy white head that receded quickly. Aroma is skunked, but underneath is a little pale malt and hoppiness. Flavors include light grain, lemon, and grass. Body is light medium. I’ll rerate this if I can get an unskunked bottle. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 24, 2007 (1L keg) Dark yellow colored, medium sized yellow head. Lemony aroma with nice hoppy character. Medium bodied. Flavor starts better with some hops and lemony fruits, aftertaste has weird unclean touch with paper and vegetably-yeastiness. bhensonb (4360), Woodland, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 22, 2007 50 cL bottle. Slight skunk aroma when the cap popped. Very slight continuation in the glass, but the main aroma is noble hop and pale malt. Slightly brassy golden color with a vigorous white head that perservered. Medium bodied. Very light carbonation. No skunk. Pale malt sweetness, and a very, very little hop. The aroma is now quite clean, and the flavor clearly reflects grassy hop. Which is how the finish goes. Nice, but light, bitter. Mild fits. Looking forward to the enchiladas. It’s got enough body to stand up to some spice. tangentrider (144), USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 19, 2007 Pale golden with a white head. Aroma is musky/malty. Flavor is slightly sweet, with a faint bitterness. Finish is a very light bitterness. Nice beer for a hot day, but a bit too thin for me.
