Aroma has some inital skunkiness, but this passes quickly to a nice malt aroma with a hint of hops. Taste has a balance of malt, hop and a nice grassy - bitter finish. You need to pour this one with a big head to get the skunk out. BREWMUSKCLES (1089), New Jersey, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 12, 2007 Yet another beer that is probably great in its home country that is just mediocre in America from a bottle. Pours clear yellow with a white head. The aroma has light grapes, some skunk and smooth pale malt. Medium / light body with lots of sharp carbonation. That is sharp and astringent malt with some graissiness. The finish has light spice, grain and light spiciness. Fair beer at best. I will only rerate if I can get a bottle direct from the box or if I can get it in Germany. Aegrus (49), USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 12, 2007 Bottle. Lager Glass. Pale light yellow pour with soft white head. Smelling of noble hop resin, honey and bread, the aroma is probably the most pleasant part of this lager. Medium body that leaves a lingering starchy/yeasty flavor and film in the mouth. Flavor is subtle and light. Notes of apple, dough and hops are present. Basic and drinkable. markas101 (597), Fargo, North Dakota, USA
