| 1.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Aug 21, 2009 A pale golden beer woth a 2 finger head. The aroma smelled like an American macro & was real bad & skunky. I do not know if it is supposed to smell & taste skunky or if it was bad, but I will not get another Hofbrau. rosenbergh (980), Helsinki, Finland

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 12, 2009 01/08 0.5 l bottle from Interspar, Udine. It poured pale golden body with medium sized head. Ordinary industrial aroma, some hops and bad malt in the background. Flavor is a bit better though, slightly bitter herbal hoppy, somewhat papery, typical for german pilseners but in less amount. Not thin in body it yielded medium long finish, which was vanilla bittersweet. OK one, but nothing special for sure. esox (273), Oulu, Finland

Medium-sized head has big bubbles and it diminishes fast but not totally. The aroma is malty and sweet, almost honeyish. Slightly bready and grainy. Some grassy hops. The flavor is malty and dryish all the way. Minor bitterness in the finish. The palate is medium bodied, slightly oily and somehow too acidic. jfb (461), Weihenstephan, Germany
