Tap. Pours clear light gold with a minimal white head. Metallic and sour malt aroma. The taste is just like a pilsener. Very easy to put down a lot of these.

Tastes like classic German Pilsener. Golden with white head and nice lacing. German hops, iron (German water taste) both in aroma an palate. Tiny bit of malt in palate gives way to a dry finish. A nice beer, nothing special, but good in its simple way.

This is what a Bud wants to be. It wants to look like this, and what an attractive beer it is. It also wants to taste like this. Crisp, clean, smooth, refreshing and then some. It struck me as a macro brew done right. There were no negatives to speak of in this beer. But the positives could have been stronger. Aroma was nice but thin, as was the taste. The beer felt great in the mouth, though, and I gave it a very high score on that. This is one to look for to spend an evening with. One was nice, 6 would be great!

Aroma is skunky, have no idea how old this bottle is. Flavor is quite nice though, sweet grain flavors balanced by nice spicy hop bitterness. Would like to have a fresh sample.

Bottled. Pure golden pour with a respectably pillowy white head. Slight grainy aroma. Familiar lager taste with a pleasant bitterness and clear malty taste. Looks to be well-carbonated but sure doesn’t taste it. Boring and accessible, but clean, and representative of the style. Smooth/sweet finish with just a trace of that malty bitterness in the aftertaste. I could see this being a joy at the Hofbräuhaus - after the first.

Golden and well-carbonated under a large white head that reduces to a scummy film. Malted yet musty aroma with adjuncts and burnt grain. Flavor seems tainted, but is predominantly grainy with a grassy hop finish. Really not very good.

Bottle. Pours with a good head which disspaites quickly. amber and clear, not bottle conditioned. Very little hop flavor and somewhat stale. The green bottle leads to a slight skunk flavor. Too bad I bought the whole six-pack.

.5 L bottle. Poured pale gold with huge eggwhite foam head. Mild aroma of pale malt. Clean fresh lager taste; mildly hoppy with sweet malt character. Quite good, but the same beer brewed and on tap at the Newport, KY Hofbrauhaus is better.
