Clear, pale yellow color with a thin white head. Bizarre tootsie roll flavor, a little pale malt and fruitiness as well. Light body with moderate carbonation. Really bad. jhliesen (406), West Melbourne, Florida, USA

Helles means lager to me and this is certainly in that bunch in every way. Only the atmosphere gave enjoyment to this brew. DrunkenCumquat (86), Canberra, Australia

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 16, 2005 Perhaps my taster is off compared to the others who have rated this beer, but I was very favorably impressed, as my score indicates. The fluffy head settled in nicely and the aroma was nice and "beery" without smelling like cheap swill (does that make sense?). What surprised me the most was the flavor, which reminded me of clover honey and mild hops. The mouthfeel and carbonation were nice and smooth and if I could keep lots of this in the fridge without going broke, I would. | 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 22, 2005 had a horrible smell to it. skunky. Flavor was sweet with some floral notes, but the flavor grew bland do to the fact that it had no hop character. seemed somewhat over-carbonated to me. Jayb0 (752), Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 1, 2005 a decent drinking beer although maybe a little sweet for a session. wheat and grassy aromas. nice head. Clear. clean, firm maltiness. DuffMan (2774), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 16, 2005 Clear gold, moderate head, no lace. Neutral aromas of dry straw and corn syrup, nothing really hoppy about it at all. Mildly sweet palate, really no hop character to speak of. Maybe the bottle I had was passed its date (I couldn’t find a date on it anywhere), but this was very unimpressive to me.
