Determined alcohol and malt scent; pleasant to the nose. Full bodied and alcoholic taste. Bitter finish of good persistence. madsberg (5076), Søborg, Denmark

Flavour of malt and some hops. Has a note of overripe fruit. Ends on a light bitter note. A little too bland for my likings. noelcb (271), Toledo, Ohio, USA

Not too aromatic although notes of peaches, lemons, honey, molasses, and herbs came through to me. Very clean bitter taste with molasses, sweet malt, malt, lemon, honey, herbal hops, and hoppy bitterness. Nice mouthfeel, full body with a dry bitter finish. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 9, 2005 Nice light gold, lots of bubbles on the side of the glass. Aroma is a grassy corn. Taste is fresh celery and carrots. A slightly spicy black pepper finish. A nice lawnmower beer. highlandlad (1278), Sydney, Australia
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 9, 2005 Not the brewer’s best work. It poured a bright gold colour with a rocky 2cm head that left some lacing. Buttery malt nose with distinct banana notes. Sweet malts at the front of the mouth and a clean, dry finish. Thin bodied and very smooth. Spritzy mouthfeel. Unfortunate metallic aftertaste. A decent, easy-drinking session beer but it lacks the complexity of some of the brewer’s other ales. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 7, 2005 (12 oz bottle: Hi-Time Wine Cellars in Costa Mesa, CA) I’m not too hopeful for this beer, as the mildly hoppy and barely malty, but lightly skunky nose is too reminiscent of a Heineken. The flavor is pretty light overall, with a very gentle breadiness easily balanced by a light hoppiness. Medium bodied, light and easy on the palate. Medium yellow in color and fully clear. Pours a frothy white head that does a fine job of retaining a quarter-inch layer. Needs more of everything, but especially more maltiness as it’s barely better than a mass produced European pale lager.
