Looks fantastic, with a light gold hue that gives it the look of a truly wonderful beer. Unfortunately, looks can be deceiving. Strong carbonation and a sizeable although quickly vanishing head. Starts with a nice bitterness and has a firm mouthfeel. It would be a lovely easy drinking beer, were it not for a peculiar lingering aftertaste - somewhat sweet but a bit off. Like something went badly wrong somewhere in the brewing process. I checked the bottle, and the use by date was a fair way off, so it was not anything of that ilk. It was quite a disappointment, especially after having tried the lovely Hofbrau Dunkel. All in all it is not unpleasant, but I would not recommend going looking for it. Miksu (1478), Jyväskylä, Finland Dec 22, 2008 Draught at Old Bricks Inn, Jyväskylä. Golden color. Malty aroma with a hint of toasted bread. Sweetish malty flavor with mild bitterness, toasted bread, grass and some fruity esters. OK everyday beer.
