Mar 16, 2008 Bottle (from NZ supermarket), brown with amber highlights, and an attractive pillowy white head. Predominately a yeasty aroma, with a touch of graininess. Similar in the mouth, with just an added touch of light clove spice. The palate seems to carry quite a bit of alcohol at first, but then becomes dry in the finish. A strange dunkelweizen, as I see many others mention, but not that bad all the same.

Mar 13, 2008 Aroma of yeast rather than hefe notes. Flavor is, again, yeast with a bit of banana and spice. Not a lot going on. Good but I hoped for better.

Dec 25, 2007 A fairly average dark wheat beer, doesn’t have the banana and clove aspects that you’d expect, quite tart and refreshing but it looks bloody awful in the glass, it’s a dirty muddy brown which is spectacularly unappetising.
