My favorite beer in the world! It was my first trip to HB Munich while stationed in Bavaria. My buddy knew German and ordered for me, knowing my taste in beer. He was spot on! The beer was served in a Litre stein, and was the same color as Dr. Pepper. The head was a light chocolate brown which matched its aroma. The flavor was perfectly balanced with a smokiness I haven’t tasted since.

Bottle. Amazing beer. Brown color with a very nice beige head. The aroma is like Banana with cinnamon and caramel, is so sweet!! Flavor is dry and few sweet with some fruity. Mouthfeel is dry and little bitter. AMAZING BEER. Cerveja marrom com uma boa e densa persistente espuma, aroma de banana com canela e caramelo, muito doce, incrível! Sabor seco e pouco doce, meio frutado. Fica uma sabor meio seco e amargo. EXCELENTE!

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Hazy reddish brown colour with large, creamy, off-white head. Roated malts, banana and clove in the aroma. Taste is the same; well balanced, nice slight sourness, moderately carbonated, nice light mouthfeel, thirst quenching and very drinkable. Very good.

Very dark brown color with some sediment. Good wheat aroma, some bubblegum, and just a hint of roasted malt. Flavor is full and sweet. There is a light citrus bite, as well as some banana, and a little bubblegum. This bottle might have been past its prime, but still a good beer.

Bottle. Dark brown. Cloudy. Thick head. The aroma is slightly smokey, wheaty, chocolatey with light apple/pear fruitiness. The body is full, quite sweet with hints of yeast and apple. Rounded, balanced character.

Amber/brown color with a tall tan head. Aroma of wheat quite evident. Light flavors of licorice, molasses and toffee. Grainy, sour apple like finish. All flavors are a bit muted and somewhat bland. Second tier schwarze weisse.
