Draught, Hofbrauhaus Miami Beach
Bright copper colour. Huge, fresh grain aroma with light caramel and freshly cracked malts. My goodness that is beautiful. Very caramelly, with light toast and a herbal hop underpinning. Beautifully balanced, with a firm alcoholic kick at the back.

On tap @ Rattle n Hum, NYC. Very surprised at such low quantity of raters on this. Poured light with nitro looking white head. Tastes very similar to Boddingtons Pub Ale, with a musty but smooth bready mouth. I’m dumbfounded that this is 8.5%, really.

At Tap @ Rattle and HUMJ, NYC. This pours a pretty clear body - surprising for the alcohol content. Aroma is light. Taste is good, great smoothness considering the alc. A great heller.

On tap at the Old German Beer Hall ,MilwaukeeSparkling golden color, absolutely gorgeous, Aroma of slightly sweet melanoidin and German malt alcohol evident, fainter then I thought it would be, didn’t help that there was a sweet cigar in the area, flavor was a moderartely almost syrup sweet malt, with just a hint of apple or pear fruitiness, sweetness was almost honey -like,palate was a little on the thick side, nice, big sweet alcohol finish. A liter of this finished me off for the night. a decent sipper that will last you for a while

tap, pours gold with a thin white head. Aroma is yeasty with lots of strong malty notes. Full bodied malty body with a peppery hop finish with alcohol notes.

Draught. Golden colour, creamy mediumsized white head, lacing. Strong aroma of raw baking pastry (breadish), sugar and malts. Flavour is strong sweet alcohol, pastryness. Aftertaste is sweet and yeasty. Not too pleasant, might be slightly unclean tap too. 4 2 4 2 8

Re-rate summer 2008. Draught. Deep golden colour with creamy mediumsized white head that leaves some lace. Aroma is bready malts along with some slight sweetness and also hops. Flavour is bready malts, some rather sweet herbal notes as well as a mild hoppyness. Quite warming touch in the finish, otherwise it hides the alcohol very well.
