Not a huge fan of this one. Looks pretty good with a light golden body and medium white head. Smell is of cooked vegetables, grass, and cardboard. A bit astringent and maybe a bad bottle. Might have to rerate this one sometime.

Bottled 50cl. Courtesy of joss. Boiled milk, sugar puffs, faint vomit, acetone and malt in the nose- rather boring and somehow disgusting. Sweet malty taste with hints of sugar puffs. Boiled vegetables showing up. Residual sugars in the finish which is malty, very slightly citrusy. A poor beer- definetely not an example of a Zwickel/Keller/Landbier which I enjoy much. Thanks a lot joss!

Bottle. The beer smells fruity, rather strong aroma of yeast, later on light sweet. The head is medium large, white and creamy with a long duration. The body is pale yellow and lively. The taste is rather bitter with some fruitiness, later on the hops are shining through. The body is rather light and dry with a normal carbonation.

bottle, bought in Steinach im Kinzigtal. Hazy golden colour, large and creamy white head. Malty nose. Malty, grainy and fruity with an intensive underlying hoppiness that becomes surprisingly bitter (in a pleasant way) and strong in the lingering hoppy finish. Lovely hoppy surprise!

Bottle 50cl. @ home.
Clear medium yellow orange color with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, straw, light hay, moderate hoppy, grass. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. A bit borring but a good beer for food. [20090723]

Thanks Lars. The color is hazy golden and the head is huge, white and creamy. The aroma has notes of malt and light acetone and vomit – not very pleasant. The flavour is better with a light sweetness and notes of malt fruit and some slightly dry citrus in the finish. Apart from the aroma, it’s quite OK

wheat and malt pleasantly presented with a nice fruity hop character that is substantive enough yet still light. wonderfully fresh malt flavor not overbearing and lightly sweet as it bades you welcome the soon arriving fall and its bounty of taste. softly flowery with pollen aaahhh next summer might be a great one!
