WVHouseofBeer (339), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA Nov 6, 2009 Updated: Nov 8, 2009Poured a golden slightly hazy color. Light aromas and flavors of clove and banana. Eh this is a fairly average Hefe. Hermod (247), Vantaa, Finland Nov 2, 2009 50cl bottle. Pours cloudy, yellow in color with a lasting, white fluffy head. Banana and yeast aroma. Lots of yeasty flavor, with fruits and wheat. Very refreshing, enjoyable. One of the better hefes I have tried. rakkasan (55), Bresso, Italy Oct 25, 2009 bottle - pours light amber with a white dissipating head. Initial aroma was of vanilla and charcoal, esters were almost undetectable - improving after a few minutes though. Initial flavor was of lightly burnt biscuit with only a hint of citrus which finally came through after a few minutes. Both aroma and flavor became more marked as I drank. I expected a bit more from this one. Elwood (665), Leesburg, Virginia, USA Oct 25, 2009 Serving: Draft.
Appearance: Cloudy, deep yellow color with a foamy white head.
Aroma: Banana, spice, clove, and yeast. Fairly standard hefeweizen notes.
Flavor: Mirrors the nose with the banana and spice but with more yeast character and notes of dust, wheat, and just the slightest hints of earth and metal.
Palate: Medium carbonation with a light mouthfeel and a short finish.
Overall: I fairly solid example of the style. jhliesen (403), West Melbourne, Florida, USA Oct 24, 2009 Bottlle-I like it. Pours a hazy, goldish color with a thick, froathy head and some nice yeaty settlement. Aroma was almost banana with slight cloves. Overall the aroma did not last through the drink. Flavor of banana and wheat without being too sweet. Produce Place 1.49 brenn79 (140), Idaho, USA Oct 10, 2009 On tap at Daanens deli- This is a beautiful beer, pours cloudy golden with a nice thick head that looks like a fluffy pillow. The flavor is of wheat and a citrus aftertaste. One of the best hefe’s I’ve had. FarFromHome (82), Philadelphia, Alabama, USA Oct 7, 2009 From a bottle at an oktoberfest ceelbration. Nice hazy gold color, thick head. Tastes the way a wheatbeer should: light and refreshing, with vague notes of fruit and spices. A nice solid beer. poisoneddwarf (153), Rathdrum, Idaho, USA Oct 4, 2009 On tap. Smells and tastes of wheat, banana esters. Pours a beautiful hazy gold. Nice head, leaves nice lacing. Great hefe.
