Jan 30, 2008 Had this at the Hofbrauhaus, Munchen, Germany, 25-01-08 This beer still went by the name of Hofbrau Munchener Kindl Weissbier in this establishment. It had poured looking quite attractive a light/mid murky amber with white frothy head that soon disappeared, yeast, banana, wheat and tropical fruits were on the nose and also in the mouth I liked this but it was I suppose fairly typical of the style.

Jan 21, 2008 One of the worst weiss beers I’ve had. It had WAY too much carbonation and tasted kind of blah. I was not impressed at all.

Jan 21, 2008 Pours only a mildly hazy light orange color with with a big foamy light tan head. Smells of mostly orange citrus with light wheat characters and small tidbits of spice. The body was really weak for a wheat, it had almost no substance to it. The wheat charaters were limited as well and replaced with alittle skunky citrus fruit remnants. Not much as far as the spice goes either. Pretty damn bad wheat beer. Not many, if any, redeeming qualities here. Wasnt really offensive, just wasnt really good.

Jan 14, 2008 I am afraid I might have gotten a bad bottle. Aroma was strongly skunky. Pours with a creay white head. Taste is skunky. Goes down alright despite the taste. Hope I just got a bad bottle.

Jan 12, 2008 Bottle. Cloudy yellow with a small head. Aroma is bubble-gummy with light and mellow citrus ( tangerine). Really lively carbonation and tasty if you like the style.

Jan 11, 2008 This is a goofily simple beer. Almost a tart nose, but nothing out of the ordinary for a Hef. No bitter, clingy, sour aftertaste - just a smooth beer; wheaty, but not like Kolsch. Light, but not tasteless. Very light lemon, clean, clean wheat. A beer you can come back to.

Jan 2, 2008 12 ounce export bottle. Pale gold brew. Sudsy head fades quickly. A light, sweet hefeweizen with solid malt presence. Not bad, but I expected better from this leading German brewery. I wonder if the half-liters for the domestic market are superior to these.

Dec 26, 2007 50 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a dense white head. Wheaty aroma with a mild note of bubblegum. Flavour is soft wheaty with mild banana esteric note. Mild wheaty finish. Solid brew, yet somewhat faint.
