On tap at MUC on 6/9/07: Pours a hazy effervescent golden with a large, frothy white head. Aroma of mildly sweet wheat with a lot of lemony citrus and a touch of bready yeast. Body starts slightly thinner with some fizzy carbonation, light clove spice and good bready German yeast. Nicely balanced, but could be a little thicker.

Bottle. Hazy burnished gold colour with a decent white head. Aroma of bananas, yeast and citrus. Mouth feel was smooth with flavours of more bananas, cloves and yeast. Good but not hugely memorable.

Bottle. Pours a hazy light orange with a one finger mostly lasting white head that leaves some lacing. Light aroma of wheat, banana, and light citrus. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium creamy mouthfeel with high carbonation and mild bitterness. Good.

Bottle as Hofbrau Hefe Weizen. Strong banana aroma with lemon citrus and yeasty spice. Hazy gold color with a multifingered white head. Thin to medium bodied. Creamy carbonation, but it’s a tad fizzy. The flavor is banana, wheat, and some citrusy sour. The finish is pretty dry, with some citrus sour and very light bitter around the edges of the tongue. Pretty decent.

.5l in the Chinese bier garden in Munich. Cloudy, flood water colour in appearance with a thin head. Just like the appearance a little thin in flavour, spices and coriander.
