Cloudy yellow, nice foamy head. Traditional wheat nose, heavy on banana, with a touch of toast. Full bodied and very "wheaty". No surprises, but very tasty.

I had this on draft at the Old German Beer Hall in Milwaukee. I thought it was very similar to Franziskaner, which I’ve had many times from a bottle, but not quite as spicy nor as good. Still, at least when fresh and on-draft, I’d recommend it (not so much after it sits on a shelf for a year). Color was a hazy dull yellow with excellent head formation. Served in appropriate glassware, which added to the experience. Aroma was lightly fruity with a good amount of spiciness. Taste was clovey and good, but as I mentioned, not as crisp nor as spicy as Franziskaner. Mouthfeel is a bit sticky, and appropriate for the style. Very drinkable.

Draught @ Bishop’s Arms, Malmö. Pours a hazy golden/yellow color with a longlasting white head. Sweet malty spicy aroma with hints of bananas. Sweet malty wheat flavor with some hints of bananas and clove. Malty finish with some hints of bananas in the aftertaste.

Draught at Bishps Arms, Göteborg. Pours cloudy and pale yellow with a firm white head. A quite bland hefeweizen, a bit watery. OK, but not more.

(Bottle at Bishops Arms, Järntorget, Göteborg) Pale golden, white head. Rather carbonated. Fruity aroma, some bana, citrus and wheat. Quite malty. Banana flavor, a bit spicy and dry. Somewhat thin but otherwise a good beer.

Bottle; Nose is wheaty with some hop and clove notes; darker golden with a big white head that laced some on the glass as it slowly receded; Tingly mouthfeel, the flavor coming through as malt with banana esters, along with a light hop note! Decent but not great.

Bottled. This was pretty sour and bad. My wife has begun liking Hefe’s..so we did a 3 sample taste test, this was bad. Can’t even compete against Franziskaner. Only thing worse is Trader joes hefe...

Why import something this bland and mediocre? Light watery, banana, clove. sour yeast. Little malt.
