Cloudy, orange yellow color with a frothy white head. A strong wheaty aroma, with an exotic fruit smell, of bananas in particular. the taste is wheaty and the exotic fruit element of banana, papaya and mango! The finish is slightly sweet and malty. UselessGdTaste (363), Long Beach, California, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 27, 2006 Bottle. Pours a deeper golden yellow with a fairly large head. This one was pretty carbonated. Nose is day old bread with thinly sliced banana aboard. Flavors are thin and marginally available to the taste buds. Not unpleasent, but hardly anything I would seek out again. mtdshn (174), Moline, Illinois, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Sep 24, 2006 Bottle. Poured a halfway decent golden yellow with a small, foamy head. Esthers of banana, some yeast, but mostly grass and hay. Taste is below average in German Hefes, but it was fairly malty and not much rigor. Aubrey (2778), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 24, 2006 On tap in Switzerland: Sudsy, white, frothy and lasting white head. Cloudy, rusty orange hue. Fresh, inviting nose. Light and refreshing with a tingly carbonation. Sweet malt base (hints of caramels, sugared bananas and dried malt extract). Bitterness was mild yet balancing. Slightly citric. Pleasant floral aromas with a pinch of clove. Nicely balanced. Didn’t blow me away but it was a pleasure to drink. Tmoney99 (4785), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

She tastes better than she looks (just like my girlfriends). Overall, I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Sham (1846), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 10, 2006 Murky gold with a fluffy white head and a fair amount of lacing. Heavy in the wheat and spicy to boot. Peppery with a hint of banana. Bitter and grassy hops round off the aroma. The flavor is mostly wheat and fruity esters of banana. Again cloves come out in the spicing with some hot pepper notes. Sweet touches throughout being a little hot on the tail end. Bitter as well at the tail.
