Light yeast aroma with just a smidgen of banana. Not a whole lot of hefeweizen here. I kind of thought this brewery would make a better one. Decent but lacking. ultraspank (866), Dublin, Ohio, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 26, 2006 Delicate nose of cereal, sawdust, and nectar. The brew pours a cloudy golden straw. The
enormous creamy white head is tight, fully lasting and leaves light lace. The sweet flavor
has a light acidity. The finish is bready, spicy, fruity & floral. The light body is soft and
creamy. Perfect pairing for a 70 + degree sunny day. mustangjoe (172), redondo beach, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 17, 2006 On tap. Cloudy, orange appearance. The normal aroma of a hefe was definitely there. Upon tasting, the fruity, yeasty flavor was there, but not for long. Just a little too thin and watery. I still enjoyed it, but not as good as some other hefes out there. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 15, 2006 Aroma of pale malt and light fruit. It is lacking any banana, clove, or bubblegum - is this really a German hefeweizen? Relatively clear golden color, there is some yeast stuck to the bottom of the bottle that a thorough swirling could not dislodge, thin white head. Sweet malty flavor, some interesting English-style fruity esters. Medium body with moderate carbonation. If I had this in a blind tasting, I would label is a mediocre blonde ale, never would have guessed it was a weissbier. It is a poor example of the german hefeweizen style. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 28, 2006 Gold and clear, with a rocky, long lasting white head. Aroma of a lager; but a high quality lager; lacking banana, coriander, or citrus. Light sweet flavor with some wheat. Medium palate. Overall light and refreshing but lacks depth, palate, or complexity. BeerDude78 (87), Denville, New Jersey, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Mar 21, 2006 Had an aroma similar to a pale ale. Taste is rather uneventful, is a bit wheaty, but other then that not much going on here. Certainly now franziskaner. FrankJohansen (3369), Århus-Randers Crew, Denmark
