Tasted out of a bottle. Lightly skunked aroma hides some light banana. Flavor is light and simply, a bit more banana. Not awful.

(bottle) pours a lightly hazy yellow-golden colour with a stable white head. aroma of wheat, medicinal hops, light hints of wood and sweet spices. flavour is heavy caramel and banana with a wheaty finish. medium body with fizzy carbonation. an unusual example, but not bad by any means.

Everything I expected from a Hefe.... expect sub par. The pour was a hazy yellow, thick lacy head, bananas and citrus all over the nose. The tase? Not what I wanted... too bitter, not enough balance.

Bottled 50cl. It pours a murky golden beer with a tall white head. Banana, grain, cloves, melissa and lemon in the nose which is yeast accentuated. Surprisingly sour taste. Not much fruitiness. Quite a lot of malt showing up. Grainy. Not overly sweet. Medium bodied. A lot of mint in the finish. A mediocre example.

Draft. Hazy pale god with an off-white head. The aroma shows notes of banana and clove. Wheat graininess. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly acidic. The finish is lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Medium body, watery texture and a lively carbonation. Overall, grainy and sweet. Straightforward.

I know I’ve had this before, but I guess I just never rated it...

Aroma: Yeasty, banana, clove, lemon
Appearance: Cloudy yellowish color
Flavor: Sweat wheaty malt flavor, similar to the nose
Palate: Lightish body, easy drinking beer, smooth
Overall Impression: If you are looking for a classic German style Hefe, this one does a nice job of representing the style. It’’s a pretty solid beer, I don’t love this style, but it is an enjoyable and refreshing beer.
