May 12, 2009 found this at liquor store here at ft riley A good example of a hefeweizen. Pours a hazy amber with a thick white head. Aroma of yeast and a bit of banana. A lot of carbonation on the palate. Yeasty and spicy. Very smooth finish. Good stuff.

May 11, 2009 Enjoyed on tap at Hofbrauhaus Pittsburgh. Pours a hazy yellow with a white head. The aroma is very disappointing. I have had it on occasions when one does get the characteristic scents of clove and a touch of banana. However, I have had it at other points in which there have been aromas of autolysing yeast and other unpleasant and unappealing smells. There is some improvement in the taste area, but not much. Hefeweizen is a straightforward style, without much in the way malt complexity and very little hops. However, this was a disappointment. I suppose it is ok as a summer thirst quencher, but little else.

May 7, 2009 A gold pour with a creamy white head and lace. Light corn aroma, wheat, and an astringent hint of clove. Very nice clove flavor with a hint of banana. Nice medium bodied beer with smooth carbonation.

Apr 28, 2009 Pours a hazy golden color with a white head. Aroma is of lemon, coriander, floral and slight citrus hops, and some yeast. Flavor is coriander, lemon, banana, and hops at first. Then finishes with some yeast and wheat flavors.

Apr 6, 2009 This poured a cloudy yellow color with a big fluffy white head. Aroma was lots of cloves and some banana. Flavor is rich spicey noted, mainly with cloves, some coriander maybe and banana as well. Not the greatest taste but a decent full flavored beer.

Apr 6, 2009 Hazy pale golden, fluffy head. Fresh citrus aroma with clove spiciness and sweet vanilla hints. Sour citrus character with moderate spicy finish. Refreshing, standard Hefeweizen.

Apr 5, 2009 BeerHawk’s Beer Gods in the Boro, aka 1000 Bottles of Beer on the Wall, By God Beer God Gathering, BG1K Tasting. Sample from a bottle thanks to BeerHawk. Clear yellow golden with a soft white head. Simple banana and clove aroma. Taste is more simple wheat, light clove and a bit of mashed bananas.
